Where does water come from?
From above and from the underneath.
We chase the blue but drink the clear, watch the brown green flow.
What does the water look like that makes us and maintains us?
Any of it can drown us.
Hold it in your mouth and taste its nothingness.
Know that it is life.
Try and contain it in your hand and feel its weight.
A heaviness that you cannot touch.
Authority for destruction and life.
Is it a God or made by one?
A divine entity that we have wasted and affronted, captured and imagined we control.
Look up.
Have you ever had control?
Water works on your behalf…
Take two cups and fire to your favorite water source.
Bring paper and a pen.
Scoop up water with one cup.
Write a wish on a piece of paper.
Light your wish on fire and place it in the second cup.
Pour the water from the first cup over your burning wish.
Let water do what it does.
